The Crow Moon Meander

"Meander? What's that?" I hear some of you ask. Well, depending upon interest, The Moonlight Meander will resume this year. The slightly reduced schedule is shown below, and, as always, is subject to change.

But Saturday will be a Meander! Yes, this will be A Traditional Meander in Full Moonlight Glory. A Meander where we scoff at rain, sneer derisively at cold, shrug off scorpions without a further thought(*). The plan at this point will be to carpool from the Quagg, and to Meander along the Mandeville Canyon fireroad.

I'd also like to gauge interest for Rednaems. "Rednaem? What's that?" I hear in a familiar echo. Well, it's Not A Meander. It's more of a casual, very-short-notice hike or geo-cache or adventure that may take place during the day, or on a non-Saturday night, or perhaps even sometime that's not even close to a full moon. If you'd like to receive notice of upcoming Rednaems, let me know, and I'll add you to the mailing list.

* Disclaimers: one scoff per relevant rainstorm; flood conditions or mudslides not eligible for scoffing, except where required by law. Ridicule may be substituted for derision towards cold at the sole discretion of participating Meanders. Excessive cold, as determined by accepted standard measures, may escape sneers in accordance with common industry practices. Shrugging without further thought only applies to scorpions of species Vaejovis spinigerus; other species may receive further thought. Scorpions of species Centruroides exilicauda are excluded from shrugging of any kind, and will be afforded only a reaction of much running about and screaming. Other limitations may apply.

Mandeville Canyon, where we encountered some Totem Animals in the wild. A pleasant night.
